Lethargic & Unmotivated?

Have you been feeling lethargic and unmotivated? When you wake up in the morning, do you feel weighed down and find it hard to get out of bed?

Feeling lethargic and unmotivated is such a downer. Knowing there is so much to do but literally having no motivation to get tasks done pushes us further and further into the dumps. When we find ourselves stuck in this pattern, our emotions feel heavy and our thinking is clouded.

Wouldn’t it feel wonderful to wake up feeling light and clear…and ready to take on all that the day throws your way?

Here are a few tips to feeling clearer and lighter if any of the above sounds like you:

  • Stop eating your last meal at least 3 hours before you go to bed. This gives your body the proper time to digest your food before you go horizontal.

  • Start drinking green juices – in the morning or in the afternoon. Whatever suits you. A store bought, cold pressed juice or a fresh one from a local juicer will help clear your thinking and give you a boost in energy.

  • Take a cold shower for 1 minute – the jolt of cold water will break up the dull cloud in your thoughts and invigorate your body.

  • Buy a dry brush and vigorously dry brush your body before you shower. This increases circulation which will make you feel more awake and vibrant.

  • Move your body. Take a walk, do 5 jumping jacks, do 5 squats or go to your local gym and take a class. Each time you move your body, you will create more oxygen intake and blood circulation which will make your energy increase. Take small steps and don’t feel pressured to do a whole class or a 30-minute walk or run. Start with a few minutes of movement and build up from there.

Try these suggestions for one week and notice how you feel. Do you feel lighter? Do you feel brighter? Is it just a wee bit easier to wake up in the morning? Notice the subtle changes and let me know how it goes!
